MILAD PASTA

Zarb, daf, udu percussions

Milad Pasta is a self-taught Iranian percussion player. He plays zarb, daf, other frame drums and udu drum. He is taking classes with Jamshid Chemirani. He is a scholarship holder of the FAMDT institute for the transmission of traditional instruments. In all his projects he explores the meeting places between different musical traditions, new techniques of playing on traditional instruments, links between language and rhythm. Between 2010 and 2015, he played in Portotrio with Maria Laurent. This formation, composed only of voices and percussion allowed him to explore a sober and refined playing style.
